Meet the Farms

Wild Child Living is privileged to collaborate with two different farms- The Maker Farm in Pepperell, MA and Ironstone Farm in Andover, MA. Both offer unique therapeutic and interactive experiences.

The Maker Farm

Founder Emily Piper long ago packed up her happiest childhood memories in the rural countryside of Pennsylvania and brought them with her to her adult life. The joys of growing up in an agricultural community led her to bring her passions to life in a farm setting. Horses, art, gardening, history and the joys of simple living all have found a very happy home at The Maker Farm.

Ironstone Farm

For years, Ironstone Farm has helped thousands of children and adults by combining several therapies into one highly effective experience. Children with special needs learn to walk. People who did not speak before - including those on the autism spectrum - begin speaking. Additional therapeutic programs improve the lives of others, such as veterans, survivors of cancer, youth in high risk situations, and young adults with special needs and elders with memory issues. Ironstone Farm is home to our two nonprofit organizations, Challenge Unlimited and Ironstone Therapy.

Mission Statement: To provide life-changing equine-assisted services that foster the human-horse connection to help individuals and families with physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges experience healing and joy while realizing their full potential.
